Opedd is licensing infrastructure between publishers and the AI tools that use their work. Publishers decide what AI tools can use and set their own prices. AI research tools, and the AI teams inside companies and funds, license that work under one contract, and every use is recorded, credited and paid.

For publishers

  1. Connect your publication through Substack, Beehiiv, Ghost or the Opedd API.
  2. Choose which licences to offer and set a price for each. You can change prices at any time.
  3. Opedd handles the rest: the contract with each buyer, delivery of your work, and payment.

You can stop licensing at any time. Joining is free, with no plans, upfront costs or minimum commitments.

For buyers

Licensed work is delivered through the REST API, the Opedd MCP server and a Claude connector. Every licence can be checked by anyone at opedd.com/verify, and each buyer has a record of every use for its own compliance team.
